Most people who come to us for a Thai-script necklace are leaving. A teacher finishing a contract. A student going home after a year at Chula or Thammasat. Someone who spent three years here and wants to take something back that isn’t a fridge magnet. They want their name, or a friend’s name, or the name of the place, written in the alphabet of the country they lived in.

That’s the piece we make more than any other, and so this page exists.

Personalizing in Thai normally costs more than Latin letters, because the letterforms are harder to craft and every name has to be set by hand. For teachers and students, however, we don’t charge the difference.

It applies to all of it: name necklaces, initial pendants, birthstone pieces, name rings and engraved work. So there is no minimum spend, and nothing is excluded.

Who qualifies for the teacher and student discount

Anyone teaching or studying in Thailand, as well as anyone teaching or studying anywhere else who is ordering from us. That means teachers and staff at international schools, language schools and universities; Thai and international university students; and anyone here on a study or teaching placement.

If you’re ordering as a leaving gift

Two things are worth knowing. First, order at least two weeks before the date you need it, because end of term is our busiest stretch and we won’t rush a piece badly.

Second, if you want a Thai name spelled correctly, send us the Thai spelling if you have it. If you only have the Latin version, then we’ll write back with how it should be written and check it with you before we make anything. Transliteration into Thai has more than one right answer, and getting someone’s name wrong on a farewell gift is not a small thing.

Departments and year groups order together often enough that it is worth saying: for six pieces or more, email us rather than ordering through the site. Then we’ll handle it directly, keep the names straight, and deliver it as one package.
