Returns & warranty

Because pieces are personalized, we handle returns a little differently, and we back our work for three years.

Every Colors By Love piece comes with a 3-year warranty covering craftsmanship. If something isn't right with how your piece was made, we'll repair or remake it. As each item is custom made to your name, letter, or stone, personalized orders can't be returned for a refund, but if there's ever a mistake on our side, we make it right. Message us on WhatsApp with a photo and we'll sort it out.

Care & sizing

A few simple habits keep silver and gold looking new.

Keep your piece dry, store it away from other jewelry to avoid scratches, and wipe it with a soft cloth. Not sure about ring size or chain length? Message us before you order and we'll help you get it right the first time.

Take silver off before water. Our materials are made to last, but chlorine and salt are harder on silver than anything else it is likely to meet. Remove any silver jewelry before a shower, a swimming pool or the sea. Lotions and perfume are worth avoiding too, so put your jewelry on last.

Ask for rhodium. If you want the least upkeep, we recommend rhodium plating. It is what keeps white gold white, and it stops silver from tarnishing, so the piece stays bright with very little work from you.

How long plating lasts. Treated well, a 1 micron gold plating keeps its colour for roughly 5 to 8 years. A 0.5 micron plating holds for roughly 4 to 6 years. Either can be replated later, and we can do that for you.
