The Initial Letter Necklace with Pave Setting covers your initial in around thirteen small brilliant-cut gemstones, set close enough that the letter reads as one line of sparkle rather than a row of stones. Pave is the dressiest way to wear an initial, and because it is set by hand, the stones follow the exact shape of the letter. Made to order in our Bangkok studio.
Details and materials
Roughly thirteen small brilliant-cut stones cover the letter, each one held by tiny beads of metal raised off the surface. Setting them by hand is why the stones follow the curve of the letter instead of sitting in straight rows.
Pave stones are the smallest we set, so we describe the look rather than quote a carat total. All of them are 100% natural. Diamond comes G, VS to SI. Emerald, ruby and sapphire are eye clean at A to AA, and the semi-precious colours are loupe clean, AA to AAA.
Any letter from A to Z. Chain lengths are 38cm, 40cm, 45cm and 50cm, each with a 3cm extender. Built on 925 sterling silver with a 0.5 micron plating in silver, yellow gold, white gold with rhodium or rose gold, which holds colour for about 3 years. Solid gold is made to order in 9K, 14K or 18K, just ask. Pave work is slow, so give us the full 7 to 10 working days.
