This page is for Japanese customers in Bangkok, living here or visiting, who would like a necklace with a name on it. At our shop on Sukhumvit 71 you can ask everything in Japanese, see the necklaces before you decide, and choose whether the name is written in Thai script, in hiragana or katakana, or in romaji.
Your name in Thai, in Japanese or in romaji
We make name necklaces in three scripts. Pick the one that means the most to you, or to the person you are giving it to.
In Thai script
Thai writes a foreign name the way it sounds, so Yuki becomes ยูกิ. Thai letters have small loops and curves that look lovely even if you cannot read them, which is why so many people take one home as a keepsake of their time in Thailand. See our Thai name necklace, and try the free name in Thai tool first to see how your own name looks.
In hiragana or katakana
You can also keep the name in Japanese. Hiragana gives a soft, rounded look and katakana a cleaner, sharper one. See the Japanese name necklace.
In romaji
A name in romaji is made in a flowing script, like a signature. See the signature name necklace.
Add a natural stone
A birthstone or another gemstone can sit next to the name. Every stone we set is natural, and if a stone has been treated, for example heated, we tell you before you order. We are a member of the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA). Designs with a stone are on the Thai name necklace with a gemstone page, and the birthstone for each month is on our gemstones page.

The size of the letters and the difference between silver and gold are much easier to judge in your hand than in a photo. You are welcome to walk in any time we are open. If you want to be sure Yaron is there to talk through the design, the metal or a stone with you, book an appointment.
Talk to Yaron about your name necklace
TOANOI House, 259/80 Phibunwet Village, Sukhumvit 71, Bangkok. Monday to Friday 9:30 to 17:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 15:00. We speak Japanese, English and Thai.
How ordering works
Choose 925 sterling silver, with gold plating if you like, or solid 9K, 14K or 18K gold. After you order, we check the spelling of the name and send you a design of it exactly as it will appear on the necklace. You approve it, and only then do we make the piece.
Each necklace is made to order in 7 to 10 working days from your order, then delivered inside Thailand in 1 to 3 working days, free of charge. We also send to Japan by FedEx. If the necklace is a farewell gift or a present to take home, count back from the day you fly and order early. Our guide to personalized gifts in Bangkok has more gift ideas.
Every piece arrives gift wrapped and comes with a 3-year warranty and free maintenance.
