The Custom Japanese Name Necklace turns your name into fine jewelry written in Japanese script. You choose the weight of the lettering, a finer Classic or a heavier Premium, and your metal, with the option to upgrade to a cable chain set with a small 2mm bezel-set satellite diamond. Each piece is handcrafted to order by our Bangkok artisans, so no two are quite alike.
Details and materials
Kanji, hiragana or katakana, whichever you tell us. Send the name and the script and we will show you how it will be written before anything is made, because Japanese names often have more than one correct rendering. Two weights are offered, Classic for a finer line and Premium for a heavier one. The letterforms are the same in both; what changes is how thickly they are made.
The piece is 925 sterling silver with 0.5 micron plating, in silver, yellow gold, white gold with rhodium or rose gold. Half a micron holds its colour for roughly 3 years worn day to day. Rhodium is our suggestion for anyone who wants the least maintenance, as it stops the silver tarnishing underneath. Solid gold in 9K, 14K or 18K can be made to order, priced when you ask us.
No gemstones in this design, so there is nothing to choose beyond script, lettering weight and chain length. Chain at 38cm, 40cm, 45cm or 50cm plus a 3cm extender, handmade in our Bangkok studio in 7 to 10 working days.

Questions, answered
What is the difference between Classic and Premium? Classic is made finer and lighter, Premium is made thicker and carries more presence on the neck. The lettering is the same either way and both cost the same. Both are crafted by hand.
Can you write the name in kanji, hiragana or katakana? Tell us the name and the script you would like, and we will confirm how it is written with you before crafting. If you are unsure, message us.
What is the diamond upgrade? It swaps the standard chain for a cable chain with a small 2mm bezel-set satellite diamond, for a little extra sparkle. Choose it above.
