The Teardrop Halo Ring pairs a pear-cut centre stone with a halo of smaller stones tracing its outline. One colour for the centre, one colour for the halo. Mix them or match them, the choice is yours. Every stone is set by hand in our Bangkok studio.
Details and materials
A halo is a ring of small stones around one big one, and they all have to sit level or the outline goes wobbly. The centre is a pear at 7 x 5mm, roughly 0.70ct. Nineteen 1.3mm rounds circle it, about 0.01ct each and near 0.19ct as a group, so the ring carries close to 0.89ct. Those are working figures rather than scale readings, since coloured stones of the same size differ in weight.
Everything set is natural, and the centre does not have to match the halo. Two colours is the more common order. Precious stones come eye clean at A to AA, semi-precious loupe clean AA to AAA. The ring is 925 sterling silver with a 1 micron plated finish in silver, yellow gold, rose gold or rhodium white, good for about 3 years of colour. Can the centre and halo be different colours? Yes, and that’s the usual choice. Pick any stone for the pear centre and any stone for the halo. They do not need to match.
