The Prong-Set Necklace with 3 Natural Gemstones puts three stones in three different cuts together in one small cluster at the centre of the chain. A 7x5mm octagon stands upright on one side. Beside it, a 5mm round sits on top of a 4mm square. Our other gemstone necklaces line their stones up or match the cut. This one lets each stone keep its own shape, so the three read as separate stones, not a row. You choose all three and we set them by hand in our Phra Khanong studio.
How it works
- Choose your stones and finish. Pick a gemstone for each of the three shapes above, then the plating and chain length.
- We confirm the design. We check all three stones with you, and which one goes in which setting, before anything is made.
- We make it and send it. Set by hand in Bangkok, then shipped free and tracked anywhere in Thailand.
Details and materials
Each stone sits in its own prong setting. Prongs hold the gem with small claws and leave the back open, so light passes through and a clear stone looks brighter than it would in a closed setting. The octagon is 7x5mm, the round 5mm and the square 4mm. All three are natural. Sapphire, ruby and emerald come eye clean at A to AA, and semi-precious stones are loupe clean at AA to AAA.
The setting and chain are solid 925 sterling silver with a 0.5 micron plating in silver, yellow gold, white gold (rhodium) or rose gold. Plating holds its colour for roughly four to six years and can be redone after that. The chain comes in 38cm, 40cm or 45cm, each with a 3cm extender. Made to order in 7 to 10 working days.

Questions, answered
Can I choose which stone goes in each shape? Yes. Each shape has its own picker, so you decide which natural gemstone goes in the octagon, the round and the square. They can all be different or all the same.
Why do prices change between the shapes? The stones are different sizes. A ruby in the 7x5mm octagon is a much bigger stone than a ruby in the 4mm square, so it costs more. Semi-precious stones stay affordable in any of the three.
Which chain length should I pick? 40cm is the safe choice for most people. Go 38cm if you like it close to the neck, 45cm if you wear open collars or want it to sit lower. The 3cm extender gives you some room either way.
How long does it take? 7 to 10 working days from when we confirm your design.
