The Prong-Set Necklace with 2 Natural Gemstones centres both stones on the chain so they sit level at the front of the neckline. This is the sibling of our side-set version and the difference is only placement, but it changes how the piece reads. Centred looks intentional and slightly formal. It also gives both stones equal billing, which matters if the two colours stand for two people. Made to order in our Bangkok studio.
Details and materials
Prongs hold each stone with small claws and leave the back of the gem open, which is why a transparent stone looks brighter here than in a closed setting. The pear is 6 x 4mm, roughly 0.40ct. The round is 5mm, roughly 0.50ct, so the pair sits near 0.90ct. Take those as close rather than exact, since coloured stones differ in density and millimetres do not translate straight into weight.
Both gemstones are natural. Sapphire, ruby and emerald come eye clean at A to AA, and semi-precious material is loupe clean AA to AAA. Setting and chain are 925 sterling silver with a 0.5 micron plating in silver, yellow gold, rose gold or rhodium white, which holds its colour about 3 years. Rhodium asks least of you. Chains are 38cm, 40cm, 45cm and 50cm with a 3cm extender, and solid gold in 9K, 14K or 18K is made to order. 7 to 10 working days at the bench, free delivery inside Thailand, tracked by FedEx, DHL or EMS abroad, 3 year warranty.

Centred or to the side? Centred is symmetrical and a little dressier. Side is softer and layers better with other chains. Same two stones either way. Message us if you want help deciding.
