The Thai Initial Side Necklace with 2 Letters sets two 6mm Thai consonants along one side of a single chain, close enough to read as a pair. Unlike the two-chain version, both letters share one chain, so they sit together with a little layered depth rather than draping separately. It is the tidier of the two two-letter designs. Made to order in our Bangkok studio.
Details and materials
Two Thai consonants on one chain, set off to the side instead of at the centre. Top and bottom letters come from their own menus, so you decide which name sits above the other, and each letter has a stone menu of its own beside it.
Both stones are round 1.3mm, roughly 0.01ct each. Treat the carat as approximate: two stones cut to the same width can differ in weight depending on the mineral.
The Metal menu here is the material itself: 925 sterling silver, or solid 9K, 14K or 18K gold. Colour is a separate choice and changes the tone rather than the metal underneath. On silver that tone is 0.5 micron plating, which holds around 3 years, and rhodium is the one to take if you want the least upkeep, because silver does not tarnish under it. Solid gold keeps its colour without any of that.
Stones are natural. Diamond at G, VS to SI. Precious stones eye clean A to AA, semi-precious loupe clean AA to AAA. The settings are small accents, so no carat weight is quoted. Lengths 38cm, 40cm, 45cm and 50cm with a 3cm extender.
