Buying a gemstone in a city where you do not speak the language can feel like a gamble. At Colors by Love you can ask every question in Japanese, see the stones in daylight before you choose, and have the piece made by hand in our own Bangkok workshop. 1. You can talk to us in Japanese or English
Japanese and English are both spoken at our shop, and of course Thai, since we are a Bangkok shop. Ask about a stone, a size, the metal or the price in your own language, in person or on LINE. When the details of a ring or a gift matter, it helps to be completely sure you were understood.
2. Every stone we set is natural
We set natural gemstones only: sapphire, ruby, emerald and the full range of birthstones. We are a member of the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA), listed under our company name TOANOI CO.,LTD.
3. We tell you about treatments before you order
Many natural stones are treated after mining. Most sapphire, for example, is heated to bring out its color, which is a normal and stable treatment. 4. Certified stones, or a lab report on request
We offer certified stones. If you choose a stone that does not come with a certificate, we can send it to a gem laboratory for testing at an extra cost. The price depends on the lab you choose and on what you want the report to tell you: adding the stone’s origin, for example, makes the test more expensive, and GIA is the most expensive lab. Tests start at about ฿1,000 and go up to about ฿5,000 when a GIA report is requested. Tell us the lab and the details you want, and we will tell you the price.
5. See the stones in daylight and choose your own
Photos never show a stone’s color exactly. At our showroom on Sukhumvit 71 you can look at the stones in the trays, hold them next to each other and pick the one you like. Our gemstones page shows the birthstone for every month if you want to plan before you visit.
6. Made by hand in our Bangkok workshop
Each piece is made to order and the stones are set by hand, in 925 sterling silver or solid gold in 9K, 14K or 18K. You can pick a design from our shop, or bring a photo or a sketch and we make it for you. Our custom jewelry in Bangkok page explains how that works.
7. Clear prices, shown on every product
Every design shows its starting price online, and the price updates as you choose the metal and the stones. A few examples with natural stones:

8. A 3-year warranty from a shop that stays in Bangkok
Every piece comes with a 3-year warranty and free maintenance. Because we make the jewelry here, you can bring it back to the same shop if a ring needs resizing or a stone needs checking. We also repair jewelry.
9. Easy to reach, and we ship
We are in Phibunwet Village on Sukhumvit 71, a short ride from BTS Phra Khanong. Delivery is free anywhere in Thailand, and we ship worldwide with tracking, so a gift can go straight to family in Japan.
10. A shop with roots in Japan
